Please help us to get Kahn back into nature! 12 September 2024
The time has arrived…
We are thrilled to announce that Kahn the leopard, placed in our care by North West Nature Conservation, is ready to be released back into nature!
Kahn was brought to The Lions Foundation in January 2024, after he was caught on a farmland in the North West Province.
Unfortunately, the capture cage was not suitable for a leopard, and he broke off all of his baby teeth, trying to escape from the cage.
While in our care, he had minimal human contact, to ensure that he never becomes comfortable around humans.
His teeth are also fully grown!
Now we need to raise the funds to pay for his tracking colar, 18 months satellite and veterinary cost, which is R60000 or €3000.
Please help us to get him back into the wild, where he can live in peace and quiet, in his natural habitat, which he so deserves.
